Best Time To Visit National Gallery Of Modern Art (Bangalore (Bengaluru)) In 2026 - 2027

Visit Timing for the National Gallery of Modern Art, Bangalore

The best time to visit the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in Bangalore is during the cooler months of the year, which span from October to February. During this period, the weather in Bengaluru is pleasantly mild, which makes it ideal for touring the city and spending ample time at outdoor and indoor attractions without having to deal with the heat and humidity that can be prevalent during other times of the year. Visitors can comfortably explore the NGMA's diverse collection of modern and contemporary art, which includes paintings, sculptures, and other artworks from prominent Indian artists.

The Bengaluru region doesn't experience much of a rainy season, and even during the monsoon months from June to September, the city receives moderate rainfall, which typically doesn't disrupt travel plans significantly. However, the pleasant weather post-monsoon provides an added incentive to visit, as the surroundings are refreshed and the temperatures are inviting. The NGMA Bangalore is closed on Mondays and national holidays, so it's best to plan your visit between Tuesday and Sunday, with operational hours from 11 am to 6:30 pm. To avoid crowds, planning an early visit on a weekday may provide a more tranquil experience.
