Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, commonly known as Lucknow Zoo, is situated in the heart of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1921, it was originally known as Prince of Wales Zoological Gardens. Spanning over 71.6 acres, the zoo is named after the last Nawab of Awadh, Wajid Ali Shah. It serves as a haven for many wildlife species which includes Royal Bengal tigers, white tigers, lions, wolves, Great Pied Hornbill, silver pheasants, and more. The zoo also houses a toy train, a state-of-the-art nocturnal house, and a vintage train. Providing educational and recreational opportunities, it is committed to the conservation of endangered species and includes a 4D theater and an interpretation center that educates visitors on wildlife conservation. This zoological park is a biodiversity-rich spot that contributes significantly to the green cover of the city.

Can be explored on foot.no elephants
The place is very popular among the locals but it needs maintenance. There are no elephants or rhino in this zoo.the place can be explored on foot and no need to book golf cart which charges rs472 for..

Good family experience
Good place to spend 2-3 hours with family.There are food options also available inside the zoo. I found the price a bit at the higher side considering the number of animals.

Good zoo
Perfect place to spend 3-4 hrs with your family specially kids. Toy train give you glimpses of the zoo all around. Children park has good slides.

Very Nice

Big Garden spacious and a small zoo based museum too, fav family outing. Plus another museum inside. Clean.
