Best Time To Visit Porbandar (Gujarat) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Porbandar, Gujarat

The ideal time to visit Porbandar, a coastal city in the Indian state of Gujarat, is during the cooler winter months, specifically from October to February. During this season, the weather is pleasantly mild with temperatures ranging from a comfortable 10°C to 24°C, making it perfect for sightseeing and outdoor activities. The cooler climate provides an excellent opportunity to explore the famous attractions of Porbandar, such as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi (Kirti Mandir) and the serene Porbandar Beach without having to deal with the excessive heat and humidity that is characteristic of the summer months.

Visitors should note that the summer season, which lasts from March to June, can be extremely hot in Porbandar, with temperatures often soaring above 40°C, which may not be conducive for tourists. The monsoon season, from July to September, brings heavy rainfall to the region. While the rains bring relief from the heat and enhance the beauty of the rural countryside, they may also disrupt travel plans due to waterlogging and other monsoon-related challenges. Therefore, to make the most of your visit to Porbandar, planning your trip during the winter season is highly recommended for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
