Best Time to Visit Pushkar Bazaar, Pushkar, Rajasthan, India

The idyllic town of Pushkar in Rajasthan is renowned for its spiritual ambiance, scenic lakes, and vibrant bazaars. To experience the best of Pushkar Bazaar, planning your visit during the cooler months of October to March is advisable. During this period, the weather in Pushkar is pleasant, with temperatures ranging from about 15°C to 18°C, making it comfortable for tourists to explore the outdoor markets and indulge in shopping for souvenirs, such as the famous Rajasthani textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts. As the heat and dust of the summer subside, the cooler climate provides a congenial atmosphere for leisurely strolls and thorough enjoyment of the market's colorful offerings.

A particularly special time in Pushkar is during the Pushkar Camel Fair, usually held in the month of November, which coincides with the Hindu lunar month of Kartik. This annual cattle and livestock fair attracts thousands of visitors and transforms the bazaar into a hub of festivity, cultural performances, and traditional Rajasthani activities. If you choose to visit during the fair, you will get to witness Pushkar at its most vibrant, with an explosion of colors, flavors, and sounds. However, if you prefer a more serene experience, it's best to avoid the fair period as the town gets quite crowded, and prices for accommodations can skyrocket.
