Best Time To Visit Ram Ghat Ujjain (Ujjain) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Ram Ghat Ujjain

The most auspicious time to visit Ram Ghat in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, is during the Hindu festival of Kumbh Mela, which takes place every 12 years. This festival draws millions of pilgrims from all over the world. However, if you are planning a visit outside the Kumbh Mela period, the best time would be during the cooler months from October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, with daytime temperatures ranging from 10°C to 28°C (50°F to 82°F), which is ideal for exploring the holy sights without the discomfort of the scorching heat that is typical in the summer months.

Another favorable time for a visit to Ram Ghat is during the holy month of Shravan (July-August), when the area is bustling with religious activities and the climate is relatively cooler than the peak summer season. The ghat becomes especially lively during major Hindu festivals like Shivratri, making it a culturally rich experience for visitors. During this time, you can participate in the evening Aarti, an immersive experience where the riverbank lights up with oil lamps, and the air is filled with chants and spiritual energy. Avoid traveling during the monsoon season (July to September) as heavy rains can cause disruptions, and the hot and humid summer months (April to June) when temperatures often soar above 40°C (104°F).
