Best Time To Visit Saputara Ropeway (Saputara) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Saputara Ropeway, Gujarat, India

Saputara, nestled in the Sahyadri range, is an enchanting hill station in Gujarat known for its lush greenery and rich cultural heritage. When it comes to the Saputara Ropeway, also known as the Sun Set Point Ropeway, the best time to enjoy this thrilling experience is during the cooler months of October to February. During this period, the weather is pleasant, with temperatures hovering between 12°C and 28°C, making it an ideal time for sightseeing and outdoor activities without the discomfort of sweltering heat or torrential rains. The clear skies offer unobstructed views of the verdant forests and scenic landscapes from the cable car. Additionally, the winter season hosts several festivals which can add to the cultural experience during your visit.

Monsoon season, from July to September, can also be quite beautiful in Saputara, with the region coming alive with lush vegetation and waterfalls. However, heavy rainfall may lead to disruptions in ropeway services. For those willing to take the chance, the monsoon period transforms the hill station with a fresh coat of green and often lower crowds, offering a tranquil escape. Conversely, the summer months (March to June) tend to be hot and humid, making daytime excursions less comfortable for tourists, including riding the ropeway. If you prefer a quieter visit without the cooler temperatures, then the shoulder months of March and September might be your ideal travel windows, where you get moderate weather and fewer tourists.
