Best Time to Visit Sarafa Bazaar in Pushkar

In Pushkar, Rajasthan, the Sarafa Bazaar is a hive of activity and culture, attracting both pilgrims and tourists alike. The best time to visit Sarafa Bazaar is during the cooler months of October to March, when the climate is pleasantly mild. This period avoids the scorching heat of the summer and the heavy rains of the monsoon season. October is particularly special, as it coincides with the celebrated Pushkar Camel Fair, which usually takes place in the month of Kartik (according to the Hindu lunar calendar). Although the bazaar operates throughout the year, a visit during the fair means the marketplace is exceptionally vibrant, filled with handicrafts, jewellery, textiles, and an array of local food to savor.

Visiting in the early evening can also be quite magical, as the bazaar takes on a festive atmosphere with illuminated shops and street food stalls coming to life. Moreover, the winter months, particularly December and January, can be chilly in the evenings, so visitors should be prepared with appropriate clothing. The cool weather makes it comfortable for strolling through the bazaar's lanes and exploring its many treasures without the fatigue that comes with hotter months. Whether you are interested in shopping, food, or simply soaking in the cultural ambiance, choosing the right time to visit the Sarafa Bazaar in Pushkar can enhance your experience manifold.
