Best Time to Visit Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib

The ideal time to visit Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib in Anandpur Sahib, Punjab, is during the cooler months of October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, with the temperature ranging from 10°C to 25°C. This provides a comfortable climate for visitors to explore the gurudwara and the surrounding attractions without the intense heat that characterizes the summer months. The winter season also hosts several cultural and religious events that can enhance the experience for pilgrims and tourists alike.

However, the most significant event at Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib occurs during the festival of Hola Mohalla, which falls in March, following the Hindu festival of Holi. Hola Mohalla is celebrated with great fervor and attracts thousands of devotees from around the world. Visitors can witness martial arts, listen to traditional music called Kirtan, and partake in the langars (community kitchens) during this vibrant festival. Planning a trip during this festival can offer a unique and memorable experience, but it is important to book accommodations well in advance due to the heavy influx of pilgrims.
