Best Time To Visit Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace (Bangalore (Bengaluru)) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace

The ideal time to visit Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, is during the winter months, from October to February. During this period, the weather remains pleasant with moderate temperatures, averaging around 15°C to 28°C, which is perfect for exploring the historic structure and its surroundings without the discomfort of extreme heat. The winters in Bengaluru are known for their cool breeze and gentle sunshine, offering visitors a more comfortable experience while walking through the palace corridors and admiring its Indo-Islamic architecture.

However, if you are unable to plan your visit in the winter, the next best time would be the post-monsoon season, which spans from September to October. This season brings forth a fresh, green look to the palace gardens and a vibrant atmosphere, although rainfall could be sporadic. Tourists are advised to avoid the summer months from March to May, as temperatures can soar up to 36°C, making it less conducive for leisurely tours. The monsoon months of June to September also see heavy showers, which, while reducing the heat, may hinder outdoor activities and exploration. Regardless of the month, visiting the palace in the early morning or late afternoon can help avoid the peak midday sun.
