By Air

Bhutan's international gateway is Paro Airport. Due to its central location, Trongsa is accessible from this airport:

Book a flight to Paro, Bhutan with Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines, the only airlines that operate international flights to and from Bhutan.
Trongsa is approximately 129 kilometers from Paro and can take about 4-5 hours by road.

By Road

Once you have landed in Paro, you can either rent a car, book a taxi, or use the services of a travel agency to get to Trongsa:

The journey will take you through stunning mountainous landscapes and you will have the chance to stop at various viewpoints and attractions along the way.
Public buses are also available from Thimphu, the capital city, to Trongsa. However, it is less comfortable, and the schedules can be irregular.
