Visitors are greeted with a picturesque coastline adorned with sandy beaches, such as Songdowon Beach, perfect for relaxation and water-based recreational activities. The area is surrounded by several small islets and has a mountainous backdrop, which offers a myriad of outdoor activities like hiking. Wonsan is also known for the Songdowon International Children's Camp, designed to foster international friendship among children.
