Yaganti is a serene pilgrimage center nestled in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India, known for its surreal natural settings and significant historical and religious importance. This place is famous for the Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple complex is set amidst the beautiful Nallamala Hills and is renowned for its growing Nandi statue, which is increasing in size over the years, as per local belief. According to geological studies, the rock composition is such that it expands slightly each year. Apart from its mystical aura, Yaganti is also known for its architectural beauty and the Akasha Ganga, a natural waterfall with water considered sacred by the devotees. The temple's history dates back to the 5th and 6th centuries, and it was significantly developed by King Harihara Bukka Raya of the Sangama Dynasty in the 15th century. Yaganti's caves, like Agastya Cave, Venkateswara Cave, and Veera Brahmam Cave, add to the historic charm and are popular among both pilgrims and tourists.
