The 24 Avatars Group of Temples is a notable collection of Hindu temples located on the Mandhata Island, alongside the banks of the Narmada River in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, India. These ancient edifices are dedicated to different avatars of Lord Vishnu and are highly revered in Hindu mythology. The temples exhibit a range of architectural styles, reflecting various periods and dynasties. Intricate carvings, stone sculptures, and inscriptions decorate the temple walls, portraying stories and teachings from Hindu scriptures. Surrounded by the natural serenity and sanctity of the Narmada River, pilgrims and visitors come to Omkareshwar seeking spiritual solace and to witness the architectural splendor of these historical structures. Worth the hike
After our darshan in the Omkareshwar temple. There's a bridge from the temple leading towards the dam. Hike for about 15-20 mins, u'll reach these temples. They are just ruins, but make for a good pic..
