Best Time to Visit Begnas Lake, Pokhara, Nepal

Begnas Lake, situated in the Pokhara valley alongside Phewa Lake, is a serene and less crowded destination that offers a retreat into nature. The best time to visit Begnas Lake is during the autumn months, from September to November. This period is characterized by clear skies and moderate temperatures, providing stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range reflected in the calm waters of the lake. The autumn season also coincides with the post-monsoon period, which means the surrounding countryside is lush and vibrant, maximizing the scenic beauty of the area.

Spring, which lasts from March to May, is another excellent time for a visit. This season sees a profusion of blooming flowers, including the spectacular rhododendrons that Nepal is famous for. Spring offers warm weather without the humidity that comes with the summer monsoon. Visitors can enjoy boating and fishing on the lake, as well as hiking and bird watching in the surrounding hills. With fewer tourists compared to the peak trekking seasons, visiting Begnas Lake in spring allows for a quieter and more peaceful experience.
