Bhimbetka Rock Shelters (UNESCO World Heritage Site) Tourism

The Bhimbetka Rock Shelters are a significant archaeological site located in the Raisen District of Madhya Pradesh, India. This group of natural rock shelters is renowned for their prehistoric cave paintings, which are believed to date back to the Paleolithic era, showcasing some of the earliest traces of human life in India. Discovered in 1957, Bhimbetka has over 750 rock shelters distributed over seven hills, with more than 500 of them adorned with paintings.
