Chaturbhuj Temple, situated in the historic town of Orchha in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Constructed by the Bundela Rajputs, the temple dates back to the 16th century. It stands on a colossal stone platform and is accessed by a steep flight of stairs. The architecture of the temple is a blend of various styles, including a fusion of Mughal and Rajput features, with an intricately adorned exterior, showcasing ornate carvings and a towering spire that dominates the skyline of Orchha. The sanctum is devoid of an idol; however, the temple exudes a remarkable spiritual aura, and is embellished with religious motifs and frescoes, some of which depict scenes from the epic Ramayana. Historically, the temple was originally built to house an idol of Rama which remained in the Rama Raja Temple. Chaturbhuj Temple today is not only a place of worship but also a significant monument that attracts tourists and devotees alike.

Beautiful architecture, worth a visit
There's not much history to it, but it is an architectural beauty. The breakfast places below the temple are quite tempting and the souvenir shops also have pretty interesting stuff.

Fascinating Temple
A fascinating history of how this temple with Krishna as the deity was sidelined by the Ram Raja Temple where Ram is worshipped as the ideal king and not as a god as much.
