Devi's Fall, also known locally as Patale Chhango, is a popular tourist attraction in the vibrant city of Pokhara. The waterfall's magnificence is observed when the water from the Phewa Lake cascades down a rock tunnel 500 feet below ground level. The optimal time to visit Devi's Fall is generally during the post-monsoon season which spans from September to November. During these months, the rainfall from the monsoon season has swelled the water levels, which makes the fall look spectacular. The weather is also pleasant with clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and minimal rainfall, providing excellent conditions for visitors to enjoy the sight and explore the surrounding area without much hindrance.
Additionally, the spring months of March to May also offer a favorable time to visit. This season gifts visitors with the sights of blooming flowers and lush greenery as the winter thaw brings life back to the landscape. The water flow in the fall during these months is less compared to the post-monsoon period, yet still offers a lovely experience. Tourists can benefit from longer daylight hours to not only witness the grandeur of Devi's Fall but also to partake in other outdoor activities that Pokhara has to offer. Visitors should, however, be prepared for the occasional pre-monsoon showers in May which can be unpredictable and might cause some slight inconvenience.
