The Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, is an ancient and revered Hindu temple located in the sacred city of Dwarka, in the state of Gujarat, India. Dedicated to Lord Krishna, this temple is a part of the Char Dham pilgrimages that Hindus aspire to visit. The temple sits on the banks of river Gomti and is said to have been originally built by Lord Krishna's grandson, Vajranabha, over 2500 years ago. The structure we see today is a result of renovations and reconstructions carried out over centuries. The temple's architecture is a blend of Chalukya and Gujarat styles, with a five-storied main shrine adorned with a lofty spire, intricate carvings, and a flag hoisted on it which waves high in the sky. This flag, changed five times a day, bears symbols representing the sun and moon, signifying Lord Krishna's dominion over space and time.
