EME Temple, also known as Dakshinamurti Temple, is a unique structure located in the city of Vadodara, Gujarat, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is managed by the Indian Army Authorities in the EME (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) cantonment area of Vadodara. What makes it distinct is its modern architecture which incorporates elements from various religions, symbolizing the unity of all faiths. This geodesic structure, covered with aluminum sheets, resembles a lotus and is surrounded by a serene garden setting. The temple's edifice is inspired by the concept of secularism, with no traditional domes or shikhars that are commonly seen in Indian temples. The interiors are embellished with motifs from various religious denominations such as Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Jainism, which is a true testament to India's cultural harmony. The temple also houses an excellent lighting system that brilliantly illuminates it after dusk, creating a divine aura around the structure.
