Best Time to Visit Gulmarg Gondola (Cable Car), Gulmarg, Kashmir, India

The Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, is a premier attraction in Gulmarg, Kashmir. To experience the Gondola at its best, the most recommended time to visit is during two distinct seasons: winter and summer. Winter season, from December to March, is perfect for those looking to enjoy snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding. The area is blanketed in thick snow, providing excellent conditions for winter sports enthusiasts. The landscape is covered in a pristine white layer, offering breathtaking views from the cable car as it ascends the slopes of Mount Apharwat.

On the other hand, summer season, from May to September, is ideal for visitors who prefer green meadows and comfortable weather. The summer months in Gulmarg are known for their lush scenery, wildflowers, and relatively warmer temperatures. Taking the Gondola during this time allows visitors to witness the panoramic vistas of the green valley and surrounding peaks. The period also offers favorable conditions for trekking, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities. Avoiding the monsoon period, mainly July and August, is advisable due to potential heavy rains and associated disruptions.
