Best Time To Visit Harvalem Waterfall (North Goa) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Harvalem Waterfall, North Goa

The ideal time to visit Harvalem Waterfall, also known as Harvalem or Arvalem Waterfall, in North Goa is during the post-monsoon season, which stretches from the Months of October to December. During this period, the waterfall is particularly spectacular as the monsoon rains would have filled up the river, thus ensuring that the water cascades down with full force and volume. The lush green surroundings are also at their peak after receiving abundant rainfall, making for breathtaking natural scenery. Besides, the weather in Goa after monsoons is typically pleasant, not too hot, with lower humidity levels, creating ideal conditions for sightseeing and for enjoying the serene environment of the waterfall.

Visiting during the monsoon itself, which spans from June to September, might also allure those looking for an adventurous experience as the cascade is mighty and the surrounding flora is in full bloom. However, it is important to exercise caution as the area can be slippery, and the heavy flow might make certain spots inaccessible. Visitors who prefer a more tranquil experience and wish to avoid the tourist crowds should consider coming in the early months, such as October, when the post-monsoon freshness still abounds but the peak tourist season hasn’t fully started yet. Regardless of the time of your visit, Harvalem Waterfall stands as a magnificent work of nature, offering a refreshing escape and numerous photo opportunities.
