Kardang Monastery is a revered Buddhist Monastery, nestled at an altitude of around 3500 meters above sea level in the scenic Lahaul Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. Established in the 12th century, Kardang Monastery, or Gompa, serves as the spiritual centre for the Drukpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Elaborate wood carvings and a large library of Kangyur and Tangyur volumes of Buddhist scriptures in Bhoti add to its historic and spiritual importance.
