Pin Valley National Park(Lahaul Valley) Tourism

Pin Valley National Park is located in the cold desert region of the Lahaul Valley, within the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Established in 1987, the park spans across an area of approximately 675 square kilometers, encompassing the Pin Valley. This high altitude park is characterized by its stark, scenic landscape which includes snowy peaks and alpine forests, providing a habitat for many endangered animals, including the elusive snow leopard and the Siberian ibex. The vegetation is sparse due to the extreme climatic conditions, but the valley is famous for its beautiful wildflowers in the summer months. Various Buddhist monasteries and gompas reflect the prominence of Tibetan culture in the region. The park is accessible through Kaza town, and the approach offers dramatic views of the rugged terrain intrinsic to the Trans-Himalayas.
