Kasar Devi Temple is nestled in the Kumaon Hills near Almora in Uttarakhand, and visiting this serene destination is an experience that varies with the seasons. The best time to visit the temple is during the spring months of April to June and the post-monsoon period of September to November. During these times, the weather is pleasant with clear skies offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and the Himalayan peaks. The spring season sees the countryside covered in lush greenery after the winter snow has melted, and the temperatures range from a comfortable 10°C to 25°C.
Conversely, the monsoon season from July to August brings heavy rainfall, making the trek routes slippery and possibly dangerous, so it's generally advised to avoid this period. Winter from December to February is characterized by cold weather with temperatures often falling below freezing point. Although winter offers a unique charm with the possibility of snow, one should be prepared for cold weather if planning to visit during this time.
