The Khanqah of Shah Hamdan, also known as Khanqah-e-Moula, is a mosque and Sufi shrine located in the Old City of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Situated on the right bank of the Jhelum River, the shrine is dedicated to the memory of Mir Sayyid Ali Hamdani, a Persian Sufi saint who is credited with having brought Islam to Kashmir and is revered by the local population. The shrine is built in a distinctive Kashmiri wooden architecture with elaborate carvings and a pagoda-like roof. The interiors are richly adorned with papier-mâché work, intricate wooden carvings, and colorful paintings. It has a serene ambience and serves as a place of solace and spiritual learning. The Khanqah of Shah Hamdan holds great historical and religious significance and is an important religious site for the followers of Sufism as well as for the local Muslim community.
