Best Time To Visit Lalbagh Botanical Garden (Bangalore (Bengaluru)) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Lalbagh Botanical Garden

Bangalore, known for its pleasant weather, makes Lalbagh Botanical Garden a year-round destination. However, the most ideal time to visit is during the cooler months from September to February. During this period, the weather in Bangalore is very comfortable for outdoor activities, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 28°C (59°F to 82°F). The humidity is lower, and the garden is lush and full of blooming flowers. Specifically, visiting in early mornings or late afternoons can enhance your experience as you can avoid the heat of midday and enjoy the serene environment during these quieter times of the day.

The garden also hosts two famous annual events – the Lalbagh Flower Show, which is held during Republic Day in January and Independence Day in August. These shows are an extravaganza of countless flower species on display, magnificent floral installations, and a celebration of horticultural excellence. If you're keen on witnessing the grandeur of these events, plan your visit around these national holidays. Keep in mind these events draw large crowds, so if you prefer a quieter visit, choose non-event days or weekdays to explore the botanical splendors of Lalbagh at your own pace.
