Mahadeo Hills, forming the central highland region of Satpura National Park, are located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. This area is characterized by its rugged terrain, deep gorges, and dense forests, which are home to an abundant variety of flora and fauna. Satpura National Park is notable for being one of the few tiger reserves that allow walking safaris. The Mahadeo Hills also feature ancient caves with rock paintings that date back to prehistoric times, adding an element of historical intrigue to the natural beauty of the region. The park's terrain, with its peaks and valleys, offers spectacular views and an opportunity for visitors to experience the serenity of untouched nature. The scenic beauty is accompanied by the chance to spot wildlife including leopards, Indian bison (gaur), sloth bears, and of course, the elusive Bengal tiger.
