Best Time to Visit Seti Gandaki (Seti River), Pokhara

The Seti Gandaki River, flowing through the heart of Pokhara, Nepal, is a magnificent sight throughout the year. However, the ideal time to visit is during the pre-monsoon season, which spans from late February to May. During this period, the weather is pleasant with moderate temperatures and low rainfall, ensuring that your activities along the river are not disrupted by weather conditions. The river is generally calm during this time, which is perfect for those interested in enjoying a placid boat ride or participating in float tours to witness the stunning scenery without the concern of high water levels.

Another favorable time to visit is the post-monsoon season, from late September to November. Following the monsoon, the river swells and clears up, making it ideal for adventure lovers who are looking forward to white water rafting. The scenery is also particularly beautiful as the landscape is lush and green after the monsoon rains. Furthermore, the skies are clearer, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan backdrop, especially the Annapurna range that towers over the river. During these months, the weather is often sunny and clear, with reduced humidity levels, providing excellent conditions for trekking and other outdoor activities.
