By Air:

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu is the only international airport in Nepal. Upon landing, you can hire a taxi or take a pre-booked vehicle to reach Shalom Treks. The drive from the airport to the Thamel area, where Shalom Treks is likely located, takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

By Road:

If you are already in Nepal or coming from India via land border crossings such as Sunauli, Kakarbhitta, or others, you can take a bus or a private car to reach Kathmandu. The main bus station in Kathmandu is Kathmandu Bus Stand (Gongabu). From the bus station, Shalom Treks is approximately 20 minutes by taxi.

Local Transportation:

Within Kathmandu, you can use the following modes of transportation:

  • Taxi: Readily available around the city; remember to negotiate the fare before starting your journey or ensure the meter is running.
  • Rickshaw: Suitable for short distances, especially around the Thamel area.
  • Local Bus: Can be crowded but is a cheaper option for longer distances.
