The town is nestled at the confluence of the Basuki and Mandakini rivers. According to Hindu mythology, a dip in the confluence is believed to purify one's soul and lead to 'Moksha' or liberation. Sonprayag offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and lush greenery. The surrounding area is characterized by serene meadows, alpine forests, and pristine water bodies, making it a haven for nature lovers and spiritual seekers.
