Best Time to Visit Thusharagiri Waterfalls

Located in the scenic district of Kozhikode in Kerala, India, Thusharagiri Waterfalls is a year-round destination with its best season spanning from September to December. During these months, following the monsoon season, the waterfalls are at their most resplendent, carrying the monsoon's bounty and cascading down with full force, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The monsoons, which usually recede by September, leave behind a lush green carpet over the landscape, making the trek through the dense rubber and areca nut plantations to the waterfalls a visual treat. The moderate climate post-monsoon provides ideal conditions for sightseeing, trekking, and indulging in the natural beauty without the discomfort of torrential rains or the scorching summer heat.

Moreover, the period from September to December is often recommended as the waters are crystal clear and the surrounding flora and fauna are in full bloom, offering an excellent opportunity for photographers and nature enthusiasts to capture the pristine beauty of Thusharagiri. However, travelers should note that the water flow may dwindle as the year progresses towards the end of December. Thus, those looking to experience Thusharagiri as a vibrant and lively cascade should prefer the earlier months closer to the monsoon's end. With fewer crowds and pleasant weather conditions, this timeframe ensures an enjoyable visit to one of Kerala's hidden natural gems.
