Deoria Tal, also spelled as Deoriatal, is a pristine high-altitude lake situated in the Garhwal Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Encircled by lush green meadows and dense forests of rhododendrons and oaks, this picturesque lake offers a mirrored view of the snow-capped Chaukhamba peaks on clear days. The lake has a circumference of about 2-3 kilometers and sits at an elevation of approximately 2438 meters above sea level. Mythologically, it is believed to be the place where the Hindu deities Indra and Shiva conducted a conversation. The trek to Deoria Tal is relatively easy, making it a popular trekking destination for beginners and nature enthusiasts. The serene environment and panoramic Himalayan views are the main attractions of Deoria Tal. The trek route starts from the village of Sari, around 3 km from the lake. The path passes through vibrant meadows and thick forests, offering opportunities for birdwatching and photography.
