Best Time To Visit Dhoopgarh (Satpura National Park) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Dhoopgarh, Satpura National Park

The best time to visit Dhoopgarh, which is the highest point of the Satpura Range in Madhya Pradesh, is during the months of October to June. This window aligns with the post-monsoon and pre-monsoon seasons, offering the most comfortable weather for activities such as sightseeing and trekking. The days are typically pleasant while nights can be cool—ideal conditions for enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding Satpura National Park. Tourists can witness the mesmerizing sunrise and sunset from Dhoopgarh, which is a major attraction of the region.

To experience the lush greenery and vibrant wildlife, visiting right after the monsoon season in October is recommended, as the region is rejuvenated with fresh vegetation. However, for wildlife enthusiasts aiming to explore the Satpura National Park in more depth, the period between December to April is considered the peak time. During this period, the climate is dry and visibility is high, providing better opportunities for wildlife sightings. Additionally, the cooler temperatures from December to February offer a more comfortable trekking experience to the Dhoopgarh peak, although visitors should be prepared for chillier evenings.
