Truly wonderful
These nearly 1000 years old temples are a good enough reason to visit not only Mount Abu but Rajasthan itself. I doubt any finer/better marble carvings can be found anywhere else in this world. The carvings on the main two temples are truly breathtaking. You can spend 3 to 4 hours here and still cannot fully explore and appreciate what is in offer. The temples do not look impressive from outside, which I understand was done to protect them and avoid attack from invaders. Inside its a different world. Temple authority do not allow mobiles, cameras, lighters or any large bags to be taken inside the complex and all of them can be kept at the locker room against a fee of INR 50. Entry is free and the entire complex is very well maintained and clean. I only wish they would have allowed cameras to be taken in, even against an exorbitant fee, so that people could share the beauty of these temples more easily.

Excellent carvings
Very old Jain temple. The security is very strict and they don’t allow mobile and cameras. There are five temples and the workmanship on marbles is mesmerising and designs are excellent. A must visit place in Mount Abu. Entry is free.

horrible experience
I have been going to temple for many years, this time I was shocked and surprised to see the new security company (All Sardars from Punjab) and the guards were horrible, their verbal and body language were pathetic, they were treating the Pilgrims like they were terrorist, I doubt if I ever go again till these idiots are posted there. I wish if there is email id of the management committee so I can write to them and request not to harass the pilgrims.

Temple Made of White Marble with Exquisite Carving
Dilwara temples are a group of Jain Temples. An ancient temple, it is one of the most important and impressive Jain temples. The temple is famous for its use of white marble and intricate marble carvings. Mobile and photography is not allowed inside the temple. At the entry point, shoe, bag and mobile lockers are available with minimal fees. The temple follows decent and fully covered dress code, temple entry of tourists with shorts, skirts etc. is not allowed. The temple is built using white marble with beautiful architecture and intricate carvings. The temples have several marble pillars, halls and domes with exquisite detail carving, which makes the architecture beautiful. It was fulfilling to visit the idols and explore the temples and its architecture. Outside the temple, some shops & stalls are avaibale for shopping. We visited the temple at around 5 pm in Mar’23, when there was limited visitors. Entry to the temple is closed at 6 pm. Overall, it was a wonderful visit of a historical temple.
