Guru Shikhar is the highest peak in the Aravalli Range, located in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India. It stands at an elevation of 1,722 meters (5,650 feet) above sea level. Guru Shikhar provides a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, which includes lush greenery, rolling hills, and dense forest. The peak is named after Guru Dattatreya, an incarnation of the Hindu deities Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva in one. At the top, there is a cave temple dedicated to Guru Dattatreya. The temple complex also houses the footprints of Dattatreya and a statue of the guru. Surrounding the temple are other smaller shrines and a bell that visitors traditionally ring to announce their arrival. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, ideal for both nature lovers and spiritual seekers. There is a bit of a hike involved to reach the summit, but it is relatively easy and well-paved. Visitors will find small eateries and shops near the parking area at the base.
