Adhar Devi Temple, situated in Mount Abu in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is an ancient temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Durga. Carved out of a huge rock, the Adhar Devi Temple is perched atop a hill and is accessed by climbing a flight of 365 steep steps, symbolizing the 365 days of the year. This serene and spiritual location offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and forests, making the climb a spiritually rejuvenating experience. The temple is housed inside a natural cave, which adds to its mystical charm. The idol of the Goddess is suspended from the ceiling of the cave and hence the name 'Adhar' (meaning 'hanging') Devi. The temple is highly revered among the locals and is a prominent tourist attraction. It is especially crowded during the 9 days of the Navratri festival when devotees come in large numbers to offer prayers and seek blessings from the goddess. Its picturesque location amidst lush greenery and the peaceful ambiance makes the Adhar Devi Temple a must-visit spiritual destination in Rajasthan.
