Gopachal Parvat is a hilltop site known for its colossal rock-cut sculptures dating back to the 15th century, located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. The site is situated near the Gwalior Fort and offers panoramic views of the city. These sculptures are carved into the cliff face and depict Jain Tirthankaras in various sizes, with the largest one standing at an awe-inspiring height of 58 feet tall. The most magnificent of these sculptures is the idol of Parshvanatha, the 23rd Jain Tirthankara, protected by a serpent's hood. The Gopachal rock-cut Jain monuments have been declared of national importance under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act. They stand as a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of the era and the religious tolerance of the rulers of Gwalior.
