Best Time To Visit Hari Parbat (Srinagar) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Hari Parbat in Srinagar, Kashmir

The ideal time to visit Hari Parbat, an iconic hill in Srinagar, is during the summer months, which stretch from April to October. During this period, the weather is pleasantly warm, and the temperature ranges between 14°C and 30°C, making it comfortable for tourists to explore the historical and spiritual significance of the destination. The summer season is also when the region's natural beauty is at its peak, with gardens and parks surrounding the hill, such as the famous Mughal Gardens, in full bloom. The clear skies offer an unobstructed view of the majestic Himalayan range, which serves as a breathtaking backdrop to the fort and temple located atop Hari Parbat.

Visitors should particularly consider the months of April, May, and September for the most temperate climate. The months of June, July, and August can be slightly warmer but still offer the advantage of lush green landscapes following the spring thaw and monsoon rains. It is recommended to avoid the winter season, which spans from November to March, as the region experiences cold temperatures and heavy snowfall, making access to the Hari Parbat more challenging. Additionally, many local facilities and roads may be closed due to the weather conditions, potentially hindering travel plans.
