Jal Mahal, also known as the Water Palace, is a stunning architectural beauty located in the heart of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Situated in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake, the palace is a fine example of Rajput style of architecture on a grand scale. The palace appears to float on the water's surface, with four levels submerged under the lake when it is full. The serene waters of the lake and the backdrop of the Nahargarh Hills enhance the palace's beauty. Built in red sandstone, Jal Mahal displays exquisite craftsmanship with intricate designs and detailed work. It was renovated and expanded in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II. The light sand-colored stone walls are at a stark yet beautiful contrast with the deep blue of the water, and the palace is accessible via a causeway. The palace is not only a visual treat but also an engineering marvel, as it has withstood the test of time and the water body for centuries.

Lazy evening
Nice place but just a photo option. Not allowed inside or near the palace. But the lake side has a cluster of shops selling fancy trinkets and snack items. Can spend a pleasant lazy evening

Not so good. Can pass it.
Not so good. Overhyped place. Just a view of distant poorly illuminated palace inside the lake. Nothing effort worthy.
