Kanakakunnu Palace is a cultural heritage site located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. Built during the reign of the Travancore Monarch, His Highness Sree Moolam Thirunal, the palace is situated on a small hill surrounded by meadows and groves. The architecture of the palace is a classic example of the fusion of traditional Kerala and colonial styles. The palace compound contains several structures, including a main building with a regal facade, crystal chandeliers, and intricate woodwork. Today, the palace is known for hosting cultural events like dance, music festivals, and art exhibitions, showcasing Kerala's rich cultural heritage. The palace’s Nishagandhi and Sooryakanthi auditoriums are frequent venues for such events. The sprawling grounds and well-maintained gardens provide a serene environment for visitors. A walk through the palace interiors and gardens offers a glimpse into the past grandeur and lifestyle of the Travancore royalty. Nice at sunset
Family friendly around sunset and mostly mosquito free. Great place to relax, walk and enjoy the evening breezes as the sun sets over the city.

Awesome place to unwind. Evening time is more special. Should not be missed when in TVM. Just sit down in the park or stroll and relax.
