Best Time to Visit Kanakakunnu Palace in Trivandrum, Kerala

The optimal time to visit Kanakakunnu Palace in Trivandrum, often acknowledged for its pleasant tropical climate, is during the winter months from November to February. During this season, the weather is predominantly dry and cool, with temperatures ranging from 17°C to 30°C. This period is especially congenial for exploring the architectural grandeur of the palace and enjoying the lush greenery of its surroundings without the discomfort of excessive heat or the unpredictability of monsoon rains. Travelers can comfortably stroll through the palace grounds, relax in its well-maintained gardens, and immerse themselves in the cultural events often hosted here during this season.

Visiting during the festive season can be particularly rewarding as the palace and its environs come alive with various cultural events and traditional programs. Among these, the annual All India Dance Festival (Nishagandhi Dance Festival) held in January/February, showcases classical dance performances. Furthermore, the establishment brims with life during the week-long Kerala Tourism Fair which brings together cultural representations from across the state. However, it's important to note that this time also coincides with the peak tourist season in Kerala, so it would be prudent to plan your visit in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
