SCAM Alert. Just Ignore the place, Not worth your time and Hard Earned Money.
The whole place is a scam. They ask you to pay Rs 4000 for 2 hours a ride on a boat, which usually takes 30 mins. Yes 4000 for a 500 rupee ride. It was not worthy at all. Just ignore it completely. Allepey backwaters is cheaper and far more beautiful.

Scam with me
It is a scam, not worthy of 3500 for two person for less than 1 hour. I book auto from Trivandrum central rly station for kovlam beach but auto driver says sir your must visit Poovar back waters it is very unique place must visit, and he directly take us to back waters to his commission place. When we get there and ask about prices they are soo much much high like 3500 for 2 persons. When is say price is too high. But our auto driver also say no sir it is worth it must try please try , why auto driver is insisting us to try because he get commission from there. I am travelling with my wife soo i try. It is worst thing pls beware of this scam

Too Expensive Boating, Skip it
Trip with family in Nov 2022. Based on Reviews we decided to visit the Poovar islands, and do boating in back water. We were shown packages of 1 hr., 2 hr. The views were good but we felt it was very expensive, because such views are easily visible at other beaches as well. They charged us approx, 2000/- per person. Certainly it was not worth the cost we paid them. The Taxi drivers have a commission to bring more tourists here, therefore your Taxi driver will certainly recommend that "you should not miss this place". Visit this place only if u have Excess cash.

Poovar resort
The views are amazing and we had a good stay. We had gone for our college reunion.However it could have been better . I was trying to buy a cup of coffee but they did not have place which could offer .

Beautiful Island
This place is a hidden gem in Kerala. The beach is clean and the backwater ride is quite peaceful and unlike any other.
