Khartar Vasahi Temple, also known as Khartarvasi Jain Temple, is one of the many exquisite Jain temples located on Shatrunjaya hill in Palitana, Gujarat, India. This sacred pilgrimage site for Jains is revered for its spiritual significance and architectural splendor. The temple is dedicated to the 3rd Tirthankara, Sambhavanath. Like the other temples in this complex, Khartar Vasahi Temple is constructed of white marble and is adorned with elaborate carvings, including images of Tirthankaras and other deities, geometric patterns, and floral motifs. The sheer intricacy of the craftsmanship showcases the artistic traditions of Jain temple architecture. This temple is particularly known for its 'rang mandap', a central hall with a magnificently carved ceiling. Devotees climb over 3,000 steps to reach the temple, which is part of a complex considered one of the most sacred pilgrimage spots in Jainism.
