Best Time to Visit Kothi Village, Manali

Kothi Village in Manali, situated in the picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh, India, is a tranquil getaway known for its breathtaking natural beauty. The best time to visit Kothi Village is during the summer months from May to October. During this period, the weather is agreeable with clear skies, and the temperature ranges comfortably between 10°C and 25°C. The summer season offers a respite from the heat of the plains, with cool breezes and mild afternoons allowing for pleasant sightseeing and outdoor activities. This is an ideal time for tourists to engage in trekking, camping, and to experience the lush greenery and blooming flowers that adorn the landscape. The traditional summer festival held in Manali, known as the Hadimba Devi Festival, takes place in May and is a spectacular event for visitors to witness local culture and customs.

However, if you are a snow enthusiast, the winter months from November to February might be more to your liking. Though the village is often covered with a blanket of snow and temperatures drop below freezing, the stark white landscape offers a different kind of beauty, making it perfect for winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. The snow also adds a magical touch to the village's charm, which is especially attractive to photographers and nature lovers. Do note that the cold can be quite severe, with temperatures ranging from -5°C to 10°C, so it is essential to carry heavy woolens and protective gear. It's also important to check road conditions as the routes can get blocked due to heavy snowfall, and the availability of accommodations can be limited due to the offseason.
