Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary Tourism

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Rajsamand district of Rajasthan, India, encircling the Kumbhalgarh fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering an area of approximately 578 square kilometers (about 222 square miles), the sanctuary encompasses parts of the Aravalli Range and is home to a diverse array of wildlife. It was established in 1971 to protect the endangered species in the area. The sanctuary's rugged terrain features hills and valleys, as well as several water bodies that support the wildlife. You'll find an array of species such as leopards, sloth bears, hyenas, jackals, jungle cats, and various species of deer including chinkara, sambhar, and nilgai.
