Vedi Temple, constructed by Rana Kumbha in 1457, is an exquisite Jain temple located in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan. Nestled in the Aravalli Hills within the premises of the Kumbhalgarh Fort—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—the temple stands as an epitome of Rajput’s art and architecture. It was originally built to perform the rituals after the death of the rulers of Mewar. The pillared architecture of Vedi Temple is a fine display of delicate stone workmanship and features a sanctum sanctorum along with an open mandapa (pavilion). The temple is dedicated to Adinath, the first Tirthankara of Jainism, which adds to the rich tapestry of cultural pluralism in the region. The temple's strategic location offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, making it a splendid spot for photography and contemplation. The fusion of cultural heritage and natural beauty provides a peaceful retreat for visitors.
