Ram Pol is one of the seven majestic gates of Kumbhalgarh Fort, located in the Rajsamand district near Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. It is the main gate of the fort and holds historical significance as the entrance where Maharana Pratap used to greet his guests. Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar fortress built during the 15th century by Maharana Kumbha. Surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famed for its elaborate fortifications and architectural finesse. Ram Pol is intricately carved and fortified, reflecting the military engineering prowess of the Rajput era. It leads visitors to the impressive ramparts of the fort, the second-longest continuous wall after the Great Wall of China, stretching over 36 kilometers.
