This sacred temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Sati, who is an incarnation of the Goddess Durga. It offers a panoramic view of the snow-capped Himalayas to the North and the sprawling Doon valley to the South. Many tourists and devout pilgrims undertake the famous Kunjapuri Temple Trek which starts from Tapovan in Rishikesh. The trek comprises a gentle hill ascent and can traverse through lush forests and local villages, providing an immersive cultural experience. The trek is popular for sunrise and sunset views when the sky is painted in vibrant hues. The temple itself is of great religious importance and is thronged by devotees, especially during the Navratri and Dussehra festivals when grand celebrations take place.
