Parmarth Niketan is a spiritual abode located in the sacred town of Rishikesh at the foothills of the Himalayas along the banks of the river Ganges. Founded in 1942 by Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj, it has grown to become one of the largest ashrams in Rishikesh. The ashram provides a serene, clean and pure atmosphere where thousands of pilgrims and spiritual seekers from all corners of the world come to deep dive into the spiritual practice of Yoga and meditation. Covering a vast area, it contains neatly maintained gardens, a sapling nursery, and over 1000 rooms for accommodation. Parmarth Niketan offers daily activities including morning universal prayers, yoga & meditation classes, satsang (devotional songs), lectures, and Ganga aarti at dusk. The ashram also hosts the annual International Yoga Festival which attracts participants globally.
