Lal Tibba is a prominent viewpoint situated in the picturesque hill station of Mussoorie, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Perched at an elevation of around 2,275 meters (7,464 feet) above sea level, it is the highest point in Mussoorie, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan range, including the majestic peaks of Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Bandarpunch. The name 'Lal Tibba' translates to 'Red Hill', indicative of the beautiful reddish hues seen at sunrise and sunset. This quaint and serene spot is located in Landour, which is an old British colonial town, adjacent to Mussoorie. The area is peppered with old British-style cottages and narrow lanes. Visitors can use powerful telescopes installed at the viewpoint for a closer look at the landscape. Moreover, the place has historical significance as it also houses a military camp and a broadcasting tower of All India Radio dating back to the British era.
